SINS OF YOUTH:
ADVENTURES OF NIGHTINGALE AND SPIRIT PUP???:

By: ShadowWing

Disclamer: Oh Goddess start running... If you thought the ADULT SW's were bad you ain't seen nothing yet! ShadowWing and her younger self Nightingale belongs to me, while Spirit Wolf and her younger self...uh Spirit Pup (?) along with the puppy versions of Smoke and Mist, plus Menes and the Reserves belong to Valancy Gilliam. Batten down the hatches and break out the riot gear...this will get messy...

Twelve hours ago...Washington DC...The Young Justice "Justice For All" Rally...

"Humph." Muttered Menes, "That spell barely tickled, this 'Witch Boy' should learn some different spells if he wanted to cause some dam..." Menes voice trailed off as she looked about at the havoc that had been wrought by the troublesome imp. The once proud JLA and JSA were now gangly teens and active kids and the once teenaged Young Justice members were now adults in there prime. With growing horror Menes spun about and sent several prayers that the JLA Reserves had not been hit by the spell.

No such dumb luck.

There behind her were two much smaller versions of the heroines she knew. Spirit Wolf now appeared to be about 15 years old and dressed in her costume, though it lacked the impact on the younger form. Her youthful face was twisted into a defiant scowl, two wolf pups, wrestled at her feet. Menes assumed they were Smoke and Mist respectively, she then turned to see the other. ShadowWing, well Menes assumed it was ShadowWing, looked to be a cute little 13-year old girl wearing a feminine version of the original Robin costume, complete with purple skirt and top, black domino mask, gray gloves, boots along with a short little gray cape. A capitol 'N' was stitched onto the left chest and a small black kitten was perched on her shoulder.

Thinking quickly Menes made a beeline for Robin, now an adult, and informed him that she would retreat to her home and look for a counter spell for this problem. Robin, still in shock following his transformation, quickly agreed and Menes was gone in a puff of smoke.

Like hell she was gonna get stuck playing babysitter to the youthful SW's. Or anybody else for that matter...

Current time: Young Justice's Headquarters.

"ShadowWing is what?" Gasped Blade's voice from the badly damaged communications device, it was a miracle that anything was working after the slight tiff between the JLA and the JSA over some rocket fuel. Young Justice was going to be working for weeks to get this place back into shape. Donna sighed and brushed a strand of hair from her face. This was going to be tougher than she thought as she carefully selected the right words to say next.

"About 13 years old again, we were hoping you could shed some light on how to...deal with her." Muttered Donna. She silently wished that she could be somewhere else, battling Wildebeests would be better than this...mayhem. Surrounding here were the various age scrambled JLA and Titans members. After wrapping up the Wildebeest problems the adult Titans got tagged with baby-sitting duty while the rest of Young Justice attempted to track down Klarion (bum bum BUM!!) the Witch Boy to find a cure for this mess.

Overall Donna would rather be handling Wildebeests.

"She's hard enough to handle at 26, let alone 13, try chocolate." Recommended Blade from his position of safety in New York City. He was silently hoping that he would not get dragged kicking and screaming into assisting the Titans.

"It only made her hyper." Muttered Donna through gritted teeth with a pointed glare at Nightwing. Blade couldn't hide a sly snicker as he spotted Nightwing carefully inch away from the frazzled Amazon Princess. After he had gotten out of Donna's immediate reach she turned back to the communicator. Nightwing went back to his position with Arsenal, what did he know about kids anyway.

As Donna continued in a vain attempt to con Blade into coming down and dealing with his age scrambled girlfriend Nightwing crouched behind Arsenal as he stood battle ready outside the small crevice that the two SW's had claimed as their own. "Well?" he asked the archer.

"You HAD to give them chocolate didn't you?" Muttered Arsenal while his eyes never left the entrance. As a father himself Roy knew exactly when it was the wrong time to give kids chocolate. This was one of those times...

"I said I was sorry!" Whined Nightwing. "So how are we going to get them out?"

"No clue." Sighed Arsenal. "Spirit was really upset when Green Lantern called her 'Spirit Pup' and hasn't been out of that hole since. I honestly thought Nightingale was going to talk her out of there so I let her in. Now I think they have joined forces, by the way...how's Lantern?"

"Only a flesh wound, now the rest of the JLA is cowering in fear of those two." Answered Nightwing motioning to where the now youthful JLA'ers were watching them with wide-eyed interest, mixed in with a healthy dose of fear for the hacked off 'Spirit Pup', add Nightingale's Psi powers to the mix...and no JLA member would approach the 'Den' with a ten foot pole. Of course Kid Flash got over his fear first.

"What's the matter Spirit Pup?" Crowed the yellow garbed youth, "Chicken?" Wally began to cluck like a chicken. "Maybe we should call you Spirit Chicken instead!!" He continued his chicken imitation until the hail of telekinetically aimed arrows shot out of the hole and followed the fastest kid alive about the already wrecked room.

"Hey!" Yelled Arsenal, "Those are MY arrows!" He quickly checked his gear, "She stole one of my Crossbows! How in the hell did she do that?"

The Martian Kidhunter shook a green finger at the red-headed archer, "Mind your language there are children present." Roy to fight the urge to laugh at the sight of the young Martian who was scolding him!

Insane giggling came from the crevice.

"Oh joy." Rumbled BatBoy, "Now they are armed."

As his eyes rested on the younger version of his mentor Nightwing got a fiendish grin. "Ya know the adult Spirit always had a thing for you, now that she's a teenager..."

The white eye slits in his full-face mask grew wide in fear. "You want me to go in there?"

The rest of the JLA scattered leaving BatBoy to fend for himself.

Nightwing smiled, "All you have to do is get the crossbow away from her and get her out, nothing you haven't done before."

"Then why don't you do it." Muttered BatBoy vainly looking for an escape route. The rest of the JLA was going to pay dearly for abandoning him at this moment. His life was at stake here! Spirit would rip him to shreds! Nightingale would most likely be selling tickets to the event! The JLA would be first in line to buy them!!

"Because I can't fit in there." Before BatBoy could react both Titans lunged for him and with one fluid motion Nightwing and Arsenal had BatBoy by the arms and tossed him head first into the crevice.

"AAUUGGHH!" Yelled BatBoy

"Oooh!" Crowed Spirit Pup, "Look Smoke! Mist! Breakfast is served!"

There was a moment of blissful silence. Then the sound of a fight, closely followed by the tearing of fabric. A few minutes later a small bat grapple shot out of the crevice closely followed by BatBoy, sans cape but holding the crossbow. As he caught his breath clinging to a stone ledge he yelled, "You will pay for that Nightwing!!"

A series of 'Awwww maaaaan' came out of the crevice.

"How..." Whimpered Damage, "How did those two rip bullet proof triple weave kevlar?"

"It may be bullet-proof, but that don' make it SW Proof!" Snickered Cyborg

"You have to go back and get them out." Muttered Nightwing giving a firm glare to BatBoy.

BatBoy shook his head in fear, "No WAY! Send Superman!"

"I'm not going in there!" Yelled the pint-sized leader of the JLA eyeing BatBoy's torn cape with concern.

"It's not like they have Kryptonite!" Sighed BatBoy.

"You never know with those two." Superman Jr. answered.

"Arthur?" Garth pleaded with his mentor, hell he made passes at Star Woman, maybe he'll be hormonal enough to try the SW's next.

"Not my type." Huffed the King of Atlantis. Garth rolled his eyes hoping that the cure for this madness would come soon.

"X'Hal!" Yelled Starfire, as she marched toward the crevice "I'll show you all how a warrior acts! I'm not afraid of those two!"

"From what I heard about the SW's, you might wanna reconsider your course of action Princess." Muttered Argent as she was keeping some of the JSA members occupied.

Both Arsenal and Nightwing nodded in agreement, neither of them really wanted to remind Kory about what happened the last time she got into a fight with Nightingale. It still gave Nightwing nightmares. Kory simply huffed and ignored them all; Nightingale on the other hand just couldn't leave it alone...

"Oh sure, she can take us on... As long as she doesn't trip over that rats nest she calls hair!" Yelled Nightingale from the hole followed by peals of laughter.

Nightwing swallowed as he saw the 14 year old Titan's eyes start to glow, "Oh no." He whimpered as Kory shot through the hole at full tilt starbolts blazing.

Arsenal ducked under a table that was still in one piece, "Tell me when it's over." He groaned. Various noises came from the hole.

"Ow ow ow! Get off of me!" Yelled Kory.

"Sic her Magic!" Yelled Nightingale hisses and yowls from the kitten followed.

ZAP!

"YOWL!!!" Came from Black Magic

"YOU SHOT MY KITTY!" Shrieked Nightingale in horror and anger.

"Lemme out of here!" Shouted Spirit, "These two are nuts!!!"

"Your next Bird-Brain!" Snapped Kory.

ZAP ZAP ZAP!

"Prepare to die Fuzz Brain!" Snapped Nightingale back.

"Help me!!" Yowled Spirit.

POOM!

Smoke, from what could be assumed to be one of Nightingale's gas pellets floated out of the hole...

"Anything I should be concerned about Troia?" Snickered Blade as he heard the chaos though the speakers.

"Other than Nightingale and Kory going at it AGAIN?" Hissed Donna.

Blade shook his head trying not to die of laughter.

Ten minutes later, a slightly singed Spirit Pup crawled out of the crevice with her wolf pups directly behind her. Nightingale and Starfire were still at it.

"Maybe this will teach you not to hide in small places." Smirked BatBoy.

Spirit Pup gave a vicious snarl and tackled him.

And was followed by Smoke and Mist....

Then the rest of the JLA...

It was insanity, to put it mildly. Donna carefully picked her way through the chaos and gave the remaining adults gas masks.

"What are these for?" Asked Arsenal.

"Blade's idea." Muttered Donna holding up a gas granade. "I think it's nap time for these kids." Exactly five minutes later the entire group was fast asleep.

Much...much...MUCH later...

"Please tell me I didn't do that hon." Whimpered ShadowWing, back to normal age cradling her slightly singed cat.

"Yep." Grinned Spirit Wolf holding an ice pack to her eye, "You really nailed Kory but good! If she didn't hate you before she does now!"

"That's not what scares me." Groaned ShadowWing.

Spirit put down the ice pack. "What do you mean?"

"Robin asked for help in repairing the monitoring system in Young Justice's HQ." ShadowWing swallowed, "The videotapes were missing from the old system..."

Spirit's eyes got huge, "You...you mean that...."

ShadowWing nodded, "Somebody out there has us all acting like brats on tape..."

Spirit gulped.

A dark form carefully slipped several videotapes into a secure box in Titans Tower, cackling softly, as the form slipped the box under the bed there was a knock at the door. In a flash the person was at the door and quickly peeked out.

"Oh! Hi Roy!" Donna grinned as she let the archer in her room.

"Ready for our date?" He asked.

"Yep." She gave him her sweetest smile as she walked out of the door. She could deliver the tape copies tomorrow....

End?
